Metaverse Fashion Week: Top Brands Unveil Digital Collections!

The details of Metaverse Fashion Week have been revealed! The four-day event will feature daily showcases of digital fashion collections on virtual runways and offer ongoing shopping experiences within the Decentraland metaverse platform.

Digital accessories from brands like Coach, Axel Arigato, Ester Manas, Wandler, Eytys, and Osoi will be accessible in a virtual store created by the digital fashion house Republiqe and retailer Monnier Paris.

However, Hugo Boss, initially confirmed to participate, will no longer be on the official roster, and the reason for the change has not been provided.

Similar to global fashion weeks in New York, London, Milan, and Paris, Metaverse Fashion Week (MVFW) will host various events, presentations, and installations alongside the runway shows.

Giovanna Graziosi Casimiro, the President of Metaverse Fashion Week, stated that participating brands will primarily showcase new collections or new interpretations of existing pieces, rather than redesigning physical designs.

The luxury shopping area designed to resemble Paris’ Avenue Montaigne will sell both digital and physical products, although the specific brands have yet to be announced.

This event, contributing to the maturation of the Metaverse, is not the first fashion event in the virtual universe; previous fashion shows for brands like Altuzzara and Roksanda have taken place.

In October, Dolce & Gabbana generated approximately $6 million by selling a series of NFTs. Shashi Menon, founder of Unxd, mentioned, “Some brands are naturally more readily available than others, while others want to watch certain things before getting in. This is expected.”
